Capturing the magic of sunlight that filters through or reflects upon the leaves and flowers is at the heart of my work. These mesmerising glow, translucency, and dazzling lights only last temporarily. That is why I portray the moments. I paint with acrylics on canvas to depict the local Southeast Asian flora based on the photos I take. 

 

With my paintings, I want to spark the viewers’ imagination and evoke a sense of being immersed in the rainforest. I intend to capture not only the breathtaking beauty of nature but also the chaos of it. This culminated in this piece “Streams of Sunlight.”
